Zagora is the group of settlements and cities in the Splitsko-dalmatinska and Šibensko-kninska counties. This part of Croatia which holds the common name Zagora is very historically and geographically important. The space of Dalmatinska zagora is the continental part of Dalmatia which is separated from the coastal area by the mountains Kozjak (780 m high), Mosor (1339 m high), Omiška Dinara (864 m high), Biokovo (1762 m high) and Rilića visoka (1160 m high). There is artificially made lake on the river Cetina, near Vrlika city – Peručko lake, made for the storage of hydropower Peruča and the confluence of the river is in Omiš where the river flows into the Adriatic sea. The whole area of Zagora gravitates towards the biggest Dalmatian city Split.
